Supports for Families
Parents Empowering Parents (PEP)
Professionally facilitated support and innovative family recovery programs. The PEP Family Recovery Group meetings include an educational component, support and navigation to other resources. The U-Turn group is for youth/young adults at risk and is based on narrative therapy and includes peer support. In addition to innovative programs, PEP also offers a family recovery support line day/evening/weekends which is professionally managed. Part of the PEP mission is to participate in advocacy for change in mental health and addiction. Visit www.pepsociety.ca.
Sparks, Brownies, Guides, and Pathfinders
Registration available online at Girl Guides of Alberta
Groups meet in the basement of the United Church (125 Royal Ave) on the following evenings:
Sparks (ages 5-6); Embers (ages 7-8); Guides (ages 9-11); Pathfinders (ages 12-14).

Pool Fee Assistance Program
Low-income residents of Diamond Valley or the surrounding area may qualify for free pool passes. Limited quantities are available through the Okotoks Family Resource Centre at 403-995-2626.
Inclusion Foothills

BGC of the Foothills
The BGC Foothills in Diamond Valley is located above the arena on 3 Street SW. It's a great place for kids to hang out with friends and to meet new ones. The club offers plenty of opportunities to have fun - there are 6 computers for use, cameras and video cameras for movie making, a large screen TV, video games, books, art supplies, games and even guitars! We also host Teen Nights through the summer months. So come check it out!
Babysitter Training Course
Red Cross Babysitting and Stay Safe classes are available to Diamond Valley residents for $30 per student. This price is reduced from $65 per student thanks to subsidization by FCSS Diamond Valley. Registration fees are due a week before the class. Children 11 years and older are eligible to register. Register at SAva Life.
Preschool Fluoride Varnish Program
