    Applications for General Obstruction Street Use Permits must be submitted at least 3 business days prior to the requested day of use.

  10. CONDITIONS OF AGREEMENT
    1. Containers, commercial waste bins, or landscaping materials placed in roadways or driveways that extend over public sidewalks must be marked with retroreflective tape or pylons/traffic cones to alert traffic and pedestrians.
    2. Containers, commercial waste bins, or landscaping materials must not obstruct local traffic or emergency services’ vehicles, interfere with driveways, or be placed within five (5) meters of a hydrant.
    3. Containers or commercial waste bins must be at least 1.5 meters away from garage access, private roads, driveways, or vehicle crossings over sidewalks.
    4. Roadways must be cleaned, swept, and free of materials or debris upon completion.
    5. A copy of this Street Use Permit must be available upon request from RCMP, Municipal Enforcement, Emergency Services, or other authorized Diamond Valley employees.
    6. A copy of this Street Use Permit must be affixed to any container or commercial waste bin, or traffic control device adjacent to landscaping materials that are placed on a roadway.
    7. The applicant is responsible for any damage to Town or private property resulting from this request.
    8. Containers or commercial waste bins may be placed on a roadway for a maximum of 1 month unless an exemption is approved by the Town.
    9. Containers or commercial waste bins, or landscaping materials placed on roadways are limited to 7 days from November 1st to May 1st.
    10. The applicant must adhere to any traffic calming or traffic management requirements imposed by the Town.
  11. Electronic Signature Agreement*

    By checking the "I agree" box below, you agree and acknowledge that 1) your application will not be signed in the sense of a traditional paper document, 2) by signing in this alternate manner, you authorize your electronic signature to be valid and binding upon you to the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, and 3) you may still be required to provide a traditional signature at a later date.

    The personal information collected through the Street Use Permit Application form is for the purpose of providing a general obstruction street use permit. This collection is authorized under section 4(c) of the Protection of Privacy Act.
