Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool

The Town of Diamond Valley has partnered with the Town of Okotoks to manage the Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool. The outdoor Pool is a cherished feature of our community and operates during the summer months, typically from June to the first weekend in September.
For public and other drop-in swim times, please select the DLM Drop-In Schedule.

DLM Private Pool Rentals
Rent the pool for one hour for up to 30 swimmers. Additional charges apply for parties over 30 people, please call Okotoks Recreation Client Services at 403-938-8954 to book an additional lifeguard.
During Pool rental periods, the Pool standards for child supervision apply:
- Children must be a minimum of 8 years old to use the Pool without a caregiver.
- Caregivers must be at least 14 years of age to accompany children in the Pool.
- Caregivers must stay within arm's reach of children at all times.

DLM Registered Swim Lessons
View and register for swim lessons for all ages and abilities.
Each registrant will be provided a unique ID number to input into our online report card system. Please contact the Aquatic Programs Team if you lost your ID number.

About our Partnership with the Town of Okotoks to Manage the Pool
In 2021, the Town of Turner Valley Council approved a proposal recommending the management of the staffing and programming of the Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool and Spray Park be contracted to the Town of Okotoks. The three-year agreement began in April 2021. The agreement does not include the management and maintenance of the facility, which remains under the purview of the Town of Diamond Valley.
Key operational objectives include:
- Establishing consistency in staffing and service levels
- Improving customer experience and service standards
- Maintaining or possibly expanding facility access and use
- Implementing online program registration and bookable activities
- Providing Diamond Valley and Foothills County residents with priority booking and employment opportunities.
