Welcome to the Sheep River Shuttle!

The Sheep River Shuttle is a community transportation service which connects Diamond Valley residents to local shopping, services, appointments and social outings. It operates two (2) days per week within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Diamond Valley, with regional connections to the Town of Okotoks. Shuttle vehicles are accessible for people with different levels of mobility.

About the Service

The Sheep River Shuttle is operated through an innovative community partnership between the Town of Diamond Valley and the Boys and Girls Club of the Foothills. The Town, passenger fares, charter service fees and community donations contribute to operating funding for the Shuttle. The Boys and Girls Club administers and operates the service.

Booking a Trip

1. Please book trips  at least 24 hours in advance
2. Provide:
   - your name, municipal address, contact phone number. starting point and destination.
   - the day and time you wish to travel.
   - important details needed to serve you better, such as if you are travelling with a mobility aid, attendant, service animal, oxygen tank or child restraint. This information will be kept strictly confidential.
3.  Ensure payment can be made by debit card. Cash and credit not accepted.

Charter Bookings

  Charters can be booked for individuals or groups on Monday, Wednesday or Friday – call for a quote

• When in charter service, the accessible Shuttle vehicle can carry up to seven (7) or eight (8) passengers if one of the passengers is using a wheelchair.
• Charter service may be for travel anywhere within Alberta, within the discretion of the service provider.
• Charter trips must be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance and should not impede regular service on Tuesday and Thursday.
• A credit card deposit of $40 is required at the time of booking. The deposit will be refunded if the booking is cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled trip.
• Charter rate is $0.80/km + $25/hr. Return trip must be paid.
