    Calling all photographers and shutterbugs! Share your perspective on the vibrant life and breathtaking scenery of Diamond Valley. We invite you to take snapshots of our town's heart and soul so we can share them with the world through the municipal website and social media channels.

    Whether it's smiling faces of residents enjoying local parks and pathways, the bustle of shoppers or diners supporting local businesses, the thrill of a mountain bike track ride, or the serene moments in our community gardens – we want to see it all! Show us the energy, the connections, and the beauty that define Diamond Valley.

    What to Capture:

    • Picturesque parks and open spaces
    • Recreation facilities like the pool, spray park, and fitness equipment
    • Active moments on ball diamonds and skating rinks
    • Tricks and flips at the skateboard park
    • Thrills on the mountain bike track and pump track
    • Playful scenes at the dog park
    • Fun on the tobogganing hill
    • Community gardens in full bloom
    • Local businesses that define our character
    • Vibrant local events and celebrations
    • Community clubs and volunteer organizations in action
    • Local wildlife going about their business
    • Stunning vistas or dramatic skies that take your breath away.

    What We're Looking For: Photos that capture the vibrant energy and unique spirit of Diamond Valley. Candid shots of people enjoying town facilities and supporting local businesses, stunning landscapes, and glimpses of our wildlife and nature. Show us what makes our town special!

    Submission Guidelines:

    • Submit high-resolution JPEG images (10-15MB range)
    • No compression or resizing, please.
    • Include people and animals for that authentic community touch
    • Capture stunning vistas of Diamond Valley or shots of scenery taken from the town
    • Agree to the Town's use of your image through the copyright release agreement.

    Your photos could be featured in town promotions, on our official website, and in local publications. Let your creativity flow and showcase Diamond Valley's dynamic spirit!

    By submitting your photos, you grant the Town of Diamond Valley the rights to use your images for promotional purposes. Please find the attached copyright release agreement for your review.  We will not use your images for profit or resale.

  20. Photography Copyright Release Agreement*

    This Photography Copyright Release Agreement ("Agreement") is an electronic agreement entered into between the undersigned photographer ("Photographer") and the Town of Diamond Valley ("Town"). By checking the box below and typing your name, you agree to the terms outlined in this Agreement.

    Background: The Photographer has taken certain photographs ("Photos") depicting scenes of the Town of Diamond Valley, including public parks, facilities, local businesses, events, landscapes, and community life. The Photographer agrees to grant the Town the right to use these Photos for promotional, advertising, and other related purposes.

    Agreement Terms:

    1. Grant of Rights: The Photographer hereby grants the Town an irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works based on the Photos. This license includes, but is not limited to, use in print materials, digital media, websites, social media, and any other promotional and advertising materials.

    2. Use of Photos: The Town may use the Photos without any restrictions as to the duration of use or geographical location, and without the requirement of seeking further approval from the Photographer.

    3. Modification: The Town may modify, edit, or adapt the Photos as necessary for their intended use, including resizing, cropping, or adding text or graphics.

    4. Release of Claims: The Photographer hereby releases and discharges the Town from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, causes of action, costs, and expenses arising out of or in connection with the use of the Photos, including any claims for defamation, invasion of privacy, or infringement of any intellectual property rights.

    5. No Compensation: The Photographer acknowledges and agrees that no compensation will be provided by the Town for the use of the Photos as outlined in this Agreement.

    6. Indemnification: The Photographer agrees to indemnify and hold the Town harmless against any claims, demands, damages, liabilities, expenses, or losses arising out of the breach of any representation, warranty, or obligation by the Photographer under this Agreement.

    7. Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta, Canada without regard to its conflict of law principles.

    8. Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties.

    By checking the box below and typing your name, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Agreement and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.

    This Agreement is effective as of the date of submission of the Photos by the Photographer to the Town.


  22. Photo Credit*

    Would you like your name to be used when the Town utilizes your photos? If requested, the Town will apply photo credit accordingly.

  35. Capture the moment, but always with respect!

    While Canadian law allows photography in public spaces without explicit consent, it's a courteous gesture to ask for permission before photographing individuals. At the Town of Diamond Valley, we value your consideration in this matter. If you plan to capture images featuring other people, we encourage you to have a conversation and ensure everyone is comfortable. For your convenience, we've attached our Photography Consent Form, which can be downloaded and signed by the subjects or their parents/guardians if minors are involved. This thoughtful approach fosters a positive atmosphere in our community. Thank you for helping us create a harmonious environment for all.
