Municipal Enforcement Complaint Line Moves to 24/7 Service through FRESC

FRESC 24 Hour Phone Line Announcement - square (1)

The Town of Diamond Valley is announcing an important improvement in municipal services. Commencing February 1, 2024, the Foothills Regional Emergency Services Centre (FRESC) will serve as the primary contact point for all municipal enforcement matters. This transition marks a significant step towards optimizing service efficiency for Diamond Valley residents.

Key Changes & Benefits:

  • 24/7 Complaint Line: Call 403-933-0334 for municipal enforcement complaints, call centre is operational 24 hours a day.
  • FRESC Dispatch: Streamlined dispatch process ensures important information is forwarded to next available Peace Officer.
  • No Extra Costs: The enhanced service incurs no additional costs to the Town or residents.
  • Regional Connection: Similar systems are used in neighbouring municipalities such as High River and Okotoks.

Important Reminders:

  • Busy Centre: There may be delays in call answer response due to the high volume of emergency calls, as FRESC is a 911 call centre.
  • No Bylaw Advice: Dispatchers are unable to provide advice on bylaw matters.
  • Required Information: Provide full name, date of birth, a brief description of the complaint, and a callback number.
  • Be Respectful: Abusive behavior will not be tolerated; please be patient and respectful.

Additional Info:

  • Online Form: Non-emergency complaints can still be submitted online, but will not be monitored outside regular business hours 8am-4pm weekdays.
  • Contact: For more details, email info@diamondvalley.town.

We appreciate your cooperation as we enhance municipal services for a safer and more efficient community.
